Kinovea app for ipad
First and foremost, the camera can be set to shoot Full HD footage, and you even get to choose from 1080p 30fps or 1080i 60fps, depending on whether you prefer to work with progressive or interlaced video. Moving on to the video mode, the Nikon 1 J1 has some pleasant surprises here. It's completely silent (the focus confirmation beep can be disabled from the menu) and allows the use of shutter speeds as fast as 1/16,000th of a second and, with the Electronic Hi setting selected, lets you shoot full-resolution stills at 60 frames per second. The J1 has an electronic shutter (the V1 also has a mechanical shutter). The V1 can shoot 58 JPEGs and up to 42 RAW+JPEGs. At 60 fps and the highest resolution the J1 can shoot 28 JPEGs and 12 RAW+JPEGs. The V1 camera is discontinued so it's much harder to find new (until several weeks ago some dealers were selling V1+10-30mm lens kits for $269), but it adds an electronic viewfinder and a larger memory buffer, which lets you shoot longer high speed bursts. These N1 cameras have much larger sensors than P&S cameras so you can raise the ISO to get faster shutter speeds without introducing a lot of noise. KEH has a used red version for $189 (EX+ condition) and a refurbished white version for $189, both include the kit lens.Ī two lens kit adds the 30-110mm lens (combined coverage equivalent to 27-297mm) for $339, also EX+ condition, also red. Used or refurbished prices are usually much less expensive. The J1 is still available new but it's above your budget with the 10-30mm kit lens (equivalent to 27-81mm) for $497. Nikon's 1-Series cameras shoot full resolution photos at up to 60 fps and also shoot slow motion video. That camera hardware should I be looking aat that wont get too much above 400$ Would would be then best camera that could take video at around 240 and i am okay with a lower resolution obviously. Frame by frame and lets you pan through frame by frame, and i would like something similar like this too. Currently i am using an app called ubersense on my ipad, but my ipad record only 30 fps, and it misses important details sometimes. I am looking for a camera that I can record and see my tennis stroke analyzed. There is a thread there also on high speed camera considerations.
#KINOVEA APP FOR IPAD SOFTWARE#
Kinovea is a free open source software for analysis of high speed video. I believe all available high speed video cameras are auto exposure control. This is not as high performance as the above Casios but it is very reasonable in cost, especially refurbished. It will do most but not all the analyses for tennis strokes. I am also testing an automatic exposure control camera, a Canon ELPH 110 HS / IXUS 125 with unknown shutter speed. My Vimeo has FH100 videos mostly at 240 fps and shutter speed 1/10,000 sec or as fast as light allows. Unfortunately, these models are no longer manufactured since 2010 and have become expensive. These allow the shutter speed to be manually set to fast shutter speed and thereby the motion blur is minimized.

These are the only cameras that have been produced with high speed and manual exposure control.
